From October 7th to 11th, our community will be celebrating Kindness Week. The Fredericton Community Foundation initiated Kindness Day over 5 years ago and transitioned to Kindness Week last year to allow everyone the opportunity to get involved. Kindness Week is a chance to showcase the kind deeds, big and small, our community does all year round. We hope you’ll consider having a conversation with your family and friends about kindness and how small acts can make a world of difference. 

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are all thinking about how we can thank those people in our lives who make each day a bit better. Thanksgiving is a time of reflection and appreciation and we hope that Kindness Week will shed some light on the incredible things that happen in our community every day. There will be kindness events and promotions happening throughout the city so stay tuned to our social media or check #FrederictonKind to keep up to date!

 Participating in Kindness Week is easy!

Looking for some kindness ideas? Any act of kindness no matter the magnitude is encouraged! Buy a coffee for the car behind you in the drive-through, carry someone’s groceries to the car, stop in and visit a neighbour, offer to carpool to daycare or school, or volunteer at a local charity. These are just some ideas of how you can brighten someone’s day with a little kindness.
