Dad, You Need A Prenatal Vitamin Too | By Chelsey Daley

This post is presented by Chelsey Daley of Sequoia Fredericton

Let’s focus on the male side of conception for a minute. For years both preconception health and care have been predominantly focused on women. Today, research shows that a man’s age, diet, and lifestyle, as well as other everyday factors, can have negative effects on the health of sperm. This can influence fertility, as well as the development and long-term health of the child. A healthy lifestyle in conjunction with key nutrients have been shown to improve the quality and quantity of sperm, helping to enhance fertility, and a man’s biological/genetic contribution to the pregnancy.

As a woman who has suffered multiple miscarriages it’s a breath of fresh air to focus on male preconception health for a minute. It’s easy to focus mostly on women as we play such a huge role in the development and growth of our child we seem to overlook the very important roll of sperm. It took seven months to see my first positive pregnancy test and not once did I question my husbands sperm, I blamed myself and drove myself crazy. It’s nice for once to put some pressure on dads when it comes to conception.

Sequoia Fredericton is happy to offer you the first Health Canada approved multivitamin for men designed to support sperm cell health. Think of it as the male version of the prenatal vitamin that so many women are already taking. Designed with seven essential ingredients, NutraVerve Male Prenatal helps improve overall sperm health including count, size, shape, and motility, to name a few. It also contributes to general well-being. NutraVerve Prenatal is more than a vitamin, it’s inspired by the important role that both men and women play in healthy family planning. This Canadian made company is hoping to change the conversation on prenatal health and care, taking some of the pressure off women and giving men credit for their essential role in conception.

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsey Daley and while originally from Moncton, NB, I have been calling Fredericton home for the past 5 years. I graduated from St Thomas University in 2015 and  married my high school sweetheart the same year.  In 2017 I decide to dive into the world of entrepreneurship and opened Sequoia, a successful health food store in the heart of downtown Fredericton.

2018 has been one of the most amazing years yet – I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! So now I have joined all of you, in this wonderful and crazy journey called Motherhood!

Most recently, I became a Registered Holistic Weight loss Expert! I will be offering an online program for women who are looking to grow their skills and knowledge in nutrition, wellness & business all while creating a healthy life and helping others to do the same.

When I’m not at the store, you will find me spending time with my family, running with my dog, and enjoying the outdoors. I’m passionate about wellness, nutrition, and fitness and hope to inspire other boss moms along my journey.
